It is presented the first general guide edited in the State. The first part deals with general aspects, accompanied by drawings by Mariana Riestra and Calros Silvar and photographies that will make it easier to use keys and understand descriptions.

It is tried to get any person without special knowledge closer to lichens, and to arouse new likings and vocations for lichenology. Next, with the complete key, 84 genus and 317 species, the most representative ones of our country, are determined.
