This new edition of Guía das Aves is the result of an exceptional work carried out by authors in the last years to update the information of the 448 analysed species, which are also illustrated by Calros Silvar with more than 2000 full-colour drawings. The scientific rigour and informative value join once again to get us closer to fans and scholars of ornithology publishing a product that sets Baía Edicións and the Galician naturalist literature at the highest level.

A novelty that enriches this edition is the CD-rom attached to the guide as complementary material. It includes 28 non-established introduced species, 14 removed from the list of birds from Galicia of the previous edition, the singing of 110 species, a very extensive section of notes with quotations present in the vast bibliography consulted or discussed in the last ornithologic Galician conferences.
