  • Here we have between our hands, in times of the image, what pretends to be a cookbook in order to recognize ourselves in our own and infinite scene. Territory of the "holy Galiza of pilgrims and minstrels ..." who sang Cabanillas. As much as we do not want, it was part of us that kept the essences of identity and with the effort of work or emigration resisted and made us possible, despite the fears and the noes. Milestone and referent for future.

Turning the pages of this book, photo after photo, is as if we opened windows to the spirit of the land, to meet the majestic and timeless We that we went and that we are. We enter here on a permanent banquet of light and shadow. Raw Material, ABC, catechism, to educate the ethics and aesthetics outside the consumer domestication. It is true that we cannot improve nature, but we can respect it. Something that our ancestors tried, devotedly they put the gods and goddesses on it.

As a recommendation for the trip of entering the scene of We, it is necessary to repeat the obsessions of the wise Mr. Ramón Otero Pedrayo: walking through the world with the backpack of knowing how to feel, of "discerning" with all the senses on "waning", that permanent Heraclitean future: everything changes, we, too, and always between those wheels that are entangled in spiral loops past and present. Only by putting all the senses in their place, also those of intuition, we will be able to introduce ourselves in a kind of initiation journey, of "Game of Goose", between landscapes and peasantry, to disappear mists and shadows, to recognize old roads and feel ourselves animist and pantheistic part of that waning: path, course that twists through the barren lands, among the thick forests, through old bridges crossing rivers that always go to the ocean of Atlantis ... old paths, made by the feet of walkers, guarded by monasteries, hermitages or castles. (...)

In this walk through life we have verified that it is outsiders who best recognize and make us see, discern, parts of the We. They, as if they were magicians, introduce us in what we do not lend ourselves to understand, despite being part of ours. Meanwhile we get lost in other alienating mimeses. This is the case of Gwendolyn Luo, she that comes from the houses of the rising sun, here she lights burning consciences inside us, in the stone altars of sunset. (...)

We are and we will be part of that, and here, on this beginning and end, before, now and future, we find ourselves. A skill of priestess of the Far East, with her camera, made us understand better our Far West.
