All the women portrayed here are autonomous, represented as such, that exist by themselves, that do not ask for permission to appear as lovers, as actresses, as writers, as feminists, etc. They respond as stereotypes that they themselves created (or helped create), not to distorting prejudice. It is so distorting to idealize as to degrade, because both both points of view mean not to understand.
